Globalizer Attends Affiliate Summit East 2010

Globalizer attended Affiliate Summit East this past week at the Hilton in New York.

Here’s how it all went down.

Sunday, 8/15

The Meet Market was a success! A packed house, as usual. Energy radiated throughout the crowd as new contacts were made and reunions were had. It was great to meet some of our loyal Globalizer affiliates, whom we had previously only spoken with via technology. We perused the aisles and were able to make concrete connections amongst the craziness. After our Meet Market mission was accomplished, we met with a client for dinner at Churrascaria Plataforma, a Brazilian spot on W. 49th St. We then made our way to the Empire Hotel Rooftop for ShareASale’s event, which had a tremendous turnout. Definitely a great time!

Monday, 8/16

Early-morning meetings brought us to the Hilton for Starbucks and serious business. It was rewarding to sit down with some of the incredible people we work with on a daily basis. The exhibit hall was enormously beneficial for the network, as an opportunity to expand our global reach even further. We went up to the POF suite mid-day for a generous lunch, including valuable insight for affiliate managers and baby blue tees in every size. Between meetings, the rest of the day was spent shaking hands with the new and high-fiving with the old. When day turned to dusk, it was time to head over to the Affiliate Dinner, hosted by Morgan Thomas. Business and pleasure came together while the industry’s best mingled over good food and drink. If there was one prime networking event of the show, this would be a nominee for sure. When nightfall hit, the Neverblue party was next on the list. Heavy beats pounded through the walls of the industrial, underground-themed atmosphere. Yet another successful gathering of affiliate marketing’s finest.

Tuesday, 8/17

On Tuesday, it was back to the Hilton bright and early to get the most out of the final day. We re-walked the aisles to make new contacts and catch up with our pals at their booths. Lunch was with a power group of affiliates and affiliate managers. Afterwards, we took one last visit to the exhibit hall to collect vitals and secure the bond with new prospects. Then it was time to say goodbye. Pockets overflowing with cab receipts and business cards, we left this show feeling accomplished, motivated, and straight up exhausted (but ready for the next one).

Globalizer at Affiliate Summit East in Boston

August 14th, 2008 – Boats, iPods and an Automobile….that’s how we got to Boston for this year’s ASE. And as we could tell from the crowd at the Westin hotel bar Sunday night when we arrived, it was well worth the trip. After a spirited dinner and short night’s sleep, we walked over the bridge to the Seaport and spread out to introduce Globalizer for the first time to an American audience.

There were many new faces at the show and of course plenty of familiar ones as well. We spoke with a number of advertisers, affiliate networks, SEM and SEO companies. While many didn’t recognize our new name, virtually all were familiar with our track record of delivering results for our clients and want to be a part of the launch of the Globalizer Network later this month. After the extremely well attended post show happy hour at the Seaport bar, we hit Grill 23 for a client dinner and then headed off to the New England Aquarium for the LeadFlash party.

Maybe I’m just old but I definitely preferred the relative ambiance of the aquarium which allowed you to actually hear what the person next to you was saying instead of just nodding through the techno beat of the latest club and hoping you didn’t miss something actually important like ‘we’re going with your competitor’. Not to mention the real life drama and wondering if the shark was going to catch one of the tunas.
